Updated June 2, 2021: Our team is ready to assist clients while following Massachusetts' guidelines on COVID-19. As we enter the re-opening phase we anticipate we will be keeping these guidelines in place longer than other businesses due to the fact that many of our clients are elderly and have health concerns and several members of our team have children too young to be vaccinated. As our local case numbers continue to come down and vaccination levels increase we anticipate revisiting these policies over the summer. Thank you for your understanding.
Initial and General Meetings
We are still practicing social distancing by scheduling all initial and general meetings as video conferences or phone calls.
Document Signing Meetings
When signing estate planning documents that require the signature to take place in the presence of two witnesses and a notary public, we have modified our procedures to ensure social distancing while being compliant with statutory requirements. A glass panel divider has been installed to separate our waiting room from our reception area. Clients can enter the waiting room where desks have been set up and sign their documents while being separated by a panel of glass from the witnesses and notary public. In order for clients to utilize this option we ask that they only schedule a signing meeting if they have been symptom free for the last 14 days, agree to wear a mask at all times, and agree to let us know if they develop symptoms over the next 14 days.
